Marva D. Murray, LCAS, LCMHC

Marva is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina.  Having worked in mental health and substance abuse services for over 15 years, Marva brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and humility to her role as a therapist.  Her background includes work within hospitals, residential facilities, and community-based agencies. Marva received her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University in 2020.

Marva provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling. Her therapeutic framework encompasses a person-centered approach.  She uses multiple therapy models and interventions with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Systems Theory.  Areas of special interest include anger management, trauma, grief and loss, addictions & substance abuse, marriage and family conflict, depression, and anxiety.  Marva has a passion for her community and the work that she does.  She honors uniqueness and seeks to assist in uncovering answers that support your recovery and overall healing.
