Trent Kapinos is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at East Carolina University. Having volunteered full-time for over a decade in diverse community settings with individuals from around the world, Trent deeply appreciates the unique perspectives and lived experiences of his clients. He understands that cultural background and worldview have a significant impact on how we find resilience and purpose as humans—and he seeks to bring that out in his clients.

Trent’s approach has a person-centered foundation, as growth requires an authentic therapeutic alliance built on mutual trust. His caring and open presence allows clients to feel comfortable sharing their strengths as well as the harder and messier aspects of their lives. He seeks to help clients understand the nature of their relationships as well as their deepest reflections on what brings them meaning in life. Trent believes that all aspects of the client—the physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual—are interconnected and play an important role in the healing and development process. He is here simply to help clients reach their personal goals, step by step.
